Subject:  PHP Login Bug Fixed

The PHP setting “register_globals” is now set to “off” on all servers to fix login issues with scripts like xoops and phpbb. If this causes any problems for individual sites that were using this setting then you can enable it via an htaccess file in your public_html directory. If you need further assistance please open a trouble ticket.

To enable register_globals on your site, please add the following line to your .htaccess file in the “public_html” directory: “php_flag register_globals on”

Subject:  Scheduled Network Provider Maintenance for 5/23/2004

Sunday, May 23rd, 2004 our network provider for srv01.qualdns.net (NAC) will be performing emergency service at the data center in Parsippany, NJ. The maintenance window will commence at 2.00am EST. This maintenance will require our network routers to be rebooted twice, resulting in a short period of network downtime - totalling no more than 15 minutes. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Status: Completed @ 2:42 AM EST on 5/23/2004.
5 minutes network downtime from 2:01 to 2:06 as expected.

Subject:  New Payment Methods

We are in the process of adding new payment methods to the sign-up process. All credit cards are now processed by our own merchant account - no more third-party processors. PayPal is still accepted for those clients who prefer to use PayPal.

All methods of payment, except for mailorder payments, feature instant account activation.

List of Available Payment Methods as of 5/28/2004:
1) PayPal
2) Visa/MasterCard
3) American Express
4) Discover Card
5) Echeck Payments
6) Personal Check or Money Order by Mail.
7) Diner’s Club Card (coming soon)

Subject:  cPanel Update

All servers are being upgraded to the latest Edge release (9.3.x) to fix a security hole found in the exim mail server. No downtime or issues are expected.

Status: Completed @ 10:20 PM EST (cPanel v.9.3.0-E3) - no downtime.
